Day 9: "I'M JUST TRYING TO SAY THANK YOU!"

Good times in Philly today.  We first met for class after those of us that were lucky enough to stay at the Holiday Inn Express enjoyed their fantastic breakfast (and after Dr. Bob picked up the other four), and then we headed into the city to eat lunch together and do some exploring. The obvious choice for cuisine was to find a place with an awesome Philly cheesesteak, so Madison looked it up on Urban Spoon and we ended up at Oh So Good.  The name of the restaurant didn't lie -- although the bathroom was all kinds of disgusting, the cheesesteaks were all kinds of delicious.  When we were all done, we parted ways with Dr. Bob and headed to see the Liberty Bell.  We then saw Ben Franklin's grave, the building where the first meeting of Congress was held, and the church that Ben Franklin attended, among various other places.  We then randomly found Dr. Bob again and we headed back to the van as a group to drive to the Rocky statue.  Danny got his picture punching the statue and then we all ran the stairs like Rocky.

We then made our way back to Citizens Bank Park.  I forgot to mention in my last post that I absolutely love this stadium.  Unlike the stadiums we saw in Chicago, the home of the Phillies is clean, well kept up (the field looked infinitely better than at the White Sox Stadium) and really open.  It seemed like every seat would have a great view.  I was also a big fan of their jumbo tron; it was quite large and thus was really easy to see and was able to provide a lot more information it seemed like.  Phillies games are just fun to watch because there is so much fan pride everywhere which, in my opinion, makes for a more fun game atmosphere.

Anyway, I have only one thing to say about the game: Jason Giambi.

That is all. Enjoy the pictures!
