Introduction

Welcome to one of the two official blogs for the Writer's Colony Baseball May Term at Coe College! (You can follow the other blog, written by Madison Sackett, here: http://mmsackett1.blogspot.com/ )

For those of you who don't know anything about this class, I'll provide a brief explanation.  This is a course designed to teach students about the history and culture of baseball while simultaneously strengthening writing skills.  Nine students (including myself) and one professor will be traveling throughout the Midwest and East coast to attend various MLB games as well as Cooperstown and a few minor league games.  While the baseball games themselves will teach us a lot about the game, we will also learn through our required readings (listed below) and through conversation with each other.  We all have varied levels of knowledge about the game so it should be an interesting trip!

Feel free to ask if you have any questions! Thanks for reading!
